TEACHING-LEARNING-CHALLENGES

One of the biggest problems of teaching and learning music theory is the fact that most elements have multiple names for the same thing. What I have attempted to do in my 50 years is to boil it down to one name for each element. What you end up doing is playing the same bullshit over and over again. Fortunately, for most people, you can get by with doing that because people want to hear the same bullshit over and over again but eventually you're going to feel stuck in a rut. What that means is that just the same bullshit doesn't turn you on anymore. The only way you're going to get out of that is to stop doing it or start learning something besides the same old bullshit and people invariably WILL NOT DO THAT!
