Shifting
Gears
One thing I have noticed is that if I get in a rut (which is usually a
negative one becuse who calls a possitive rut a rut?) it is very
difficult to get out. I call it shifting gears. If I am in what I call
the wrong gear I am just about worthless. Only time will allow me to go
through the sequence of gear changes to get back to the right one.
Unfortunately when I get back I may have lost all direction. It seems
like this is pretty common. As I have grown older and more experienced
in this habitrail we call life I have found a few ways to shift gears
because there are times when it needs to occur fast. For me, and this
may or may not work for you, I can look at pictures that please me like
vacations, loved ones, pictures I am proud of, even erotica to get me
out of that stuck negative gear. It is very theraputic and a good thing
to try. Sometimes a certain thing I do will loose its effectiveness and
I will need to put it down for a while so it is good to have several.
Upsetting phone calls seem to get me the most for some reason so I peek
at pictures from one of my favorite races (I’m a huge race fan) or some
beauties in bathing suits or out of bathing suits and I am healed. It
really is a shift to the right brain that is happening. So a student
must research some easy to do therapy for shifting gears and always
have them at his/her disposal. Music for me is often times not a good
one for me because it is the subject from which I am attempting to
shift. Beings these tips are for music students I can assume this might
be your stuck gear too.
